Product Description
STP (Signal Transfer Point) is used in SS7 networks. SS7 messages are transmitted between interconnected nodes SEP (signaling endpoints) based on the information contained in the SS7 address field. A typical SEP includes a service switching point (SSP) and a service control point (SCP). STP is connected to adjacent SEP and STP through signaling links.
STP supports any signaling connection between SS7 through the IP SIGTRAN interface to achieve maximum network integration flexibility. STP provides all the standard features and functions expected by the STP solution, including gateway screening and global title translation, as well as extended functions and features, such as signaling gateway and point code emulation.
