Product Description

Signaling is a transmission protocol used by mobile communication networks to control communication between different elements. Through signaling, it is possible to establish and control telecom voice calls, SMS, or data session information exchange, etc.

Different phases of mobile communication technologies use different signaling protocols, and different signaling has different functional characteristics, as follows.

  • 2G/3G: SS7
  • 4G/IMS: Diameter
  • 5G: HTTP/2

Application Scenarios

LTE inter-network roaming interoperability as a signaling border gateway

Signaling routing and border proxies in MNO and IPX service provider networks

Interconnection and interoperability between 2G/3G and 4G networks

Binding and load balancing in centralized signaling forwarding as the front end of an IMS/EPC converged network

Secure proxy gateway with other operators while roaming in 5G
